Styled a lot like the general purpose vehicle made by Willys for the US Army in the World War II, the Hajime measures 3.02 metres long, 1.32m wide, 1.24m tall and rides on a 1.8m wheelbase.
The concept seats three people, with the driver located in a central position up front, and two passengers positioned to the back and sides.
Toyota says that the Camatte Hajime is powered by an electric motor, but doesn’t give any details about the car’s performance or range. The car is also said to feature swappable body panels, like earlier members of the Camatte concept family, as well as adjustable pedals and driver’s seat.
At the show, kids will be able to get in the driver’s seat, adjust the pedals and seat, and play with the controls. Although the Hajime is said to be drivable, it will remain stationary for the duration of the event.
